Theres a good chance the run dmc logo tees havent come out then if thats the case.

I also have to agree about the shark tees, the colours they used ruined it and foil print used to look like a zipper ruined it all over again. If they had just made some white tees with a black print detail and black tee with white print detail etc they might have been more tempting to get.

The ones I saw seem to have one on the inside parts of the of the foot.... if that makes sense :confused:

Was in there today, sold out of the white large ape head tees :( nothing too much that I was tempted to get other than the tees that fade from dark to light that matched the hoodys they did in the smae style. Didnt get one though. :rolleyes:

I was looking at a pair of gloves I bought at BWS a few years back & the quality & detail are amazing. Quality & detail are what got me into Bape way back when I couldn't even afford it but Nigo isn't playing that game anymore.

Sure, some Bape gear is still 'ok' but these days it's all about cheaply printed logos and hype. The subtlety has all but gone, and when you do find subtlety the details are out of whack. I agonised over buying a hidden camo polo but decided against it 'cause in real life the off-white colour is a horrible, cheesy cream & the logo is so mis-shapen it looks fape. Similarly, I was all set to buy an ABC camo jacket, but when they finally arrived they were a nasty nylon material with cheap cording round the neck; no secret pockets or any of the other details you'd expect. Ditto the camo stas - great idea horribly executed.

Like Bossman, I've said it before: Nigo's stuck his foot down on the gas and he's driving Bape straight into the wall as a retirement bonus. He's shifting units to kids who've moved on from Famous Stars & Straps and just want the tag without the legacy. That's why fape is selling like coke in Camden.

Well reasoned opinions, Wereboy.

I agree with the quality aspect. Bape's price tag is definitely not reflected in the quality of the garments these days. Certianly not in the same way that, say, Visvim, Original Fake or W)taps is, where, when you wear their tees or denim or outerwear (particularly for w)taps) you can really feel where the extra cash has gone. I still think that the quality is better than a lot of brands out there and, for the most part, the brand has kept it's identity intact so far, I just hope things don't continue to dwindle.

I'd love to see Bape last through all the hype of the last couple of years and, when all the scenesters have moved on, still be standing strong. But i don't think it will ever get back to the old level of detail, even if this is the case.

I still think Bape has kept a high standard with some of their things, I never bothered to look at the abc camo up close because I cant stand it compared to the og one, so I'll take you word for it wereboy :D . But with tees they use the tube method (or however you want to word it) which is the cheapest way to make tee-shirts, for what you pay you could expect a little more in that area I suppose. The thing you have to remember is that in Japan the items aren't as much, so for the price there the quality is pretty good its partly the import taxes and London price that make the quality seem lower. But I def agree about the fape, I thought I had seen a fape free day in London yesterday until I was on the way home when I saw a nice white and grey Milo safari hoody and a ponr shark without the star... but with the tiger striped a you would see on the sleeves of tigers of hoods og the wgm sharks. :confused: Also with a normal sleeve tag and not the skatething one, I’m not an expert on ponr sharks but I’m sure at least one of those things is wrong. Anyways its not the fact they have fape its just a shame they are none the wiser and like wereboy said some people don’t even know what the make really is and how hard some things can be to get :(

the other type is that jacquard style, like the hoodys, you have to be pretty up close to see the pattern in it

Yep those are expensive because of the Goretex and work on the pocket. Levi`s ones are just like normal jeans from what I have been told.

there is some washed red cockstas in there and and some raw ones with a bathing ape on the front.

loads of polos and tees, loads of stas and roadstas, the new eras are a bit of a disappointment to be honest, they just dont look as nice as you would expect them to.

I quite like the orange aloha roadstas but im not 100% convinced.

Yep Hideout used to have a great selection of Bape stuff. Weird thing is it was no more expensive that it is now on some things, Tees were £50 standard and it used to sit around there for ages as it didnt really sell.

Tees definately not, Hoodys not really. Stas were never sold in Hideout as it was a Nike Probe store and they couldnt sell them because they were too similar to AF1s.

I dont think they ever had the Unkle tees though mate by the time that collab happened BWS had happened. Unless you mean the first James vs Nigo collab but I dont think they made it over here as they were mad ltd. I never saw tees for less than £50 in there but then I didnt start shopping in there until about 98 - 99. Bond used to sell Bape b4 and Very Ape as well, I think that Gimme 5 then got the exclusive license to print Very Ape and sold it in Hideout.

Narrow £350 they havent got other styles in yet but I would imagine as the Medium cut were more in Japan they would be more in the UK maybe like £400. Not fussed about them though as Hideout dont get my size in.

Save another £200 and get some NBHDs`s :) seriously though I only really buy NBHD`s because they are wicked but if you havent ever tried them and want something not of the norm then I would say nip into Libertys as they have a great selection of denim. I wouldnt bother with Bape jeans as they arent that great quality for the price. Dover Street Market got Fenom unwashed in but they range from £250 - £285. Not sure how they come out when they have been washed as I dont buy unwashed denim. Puma store also has Puma and Evisus for £90 - £130.
