Roadstas = bad quality shoes ??!

I was looking at my roadies and i noticed these marks, cracks whatever...

I worn them like 10-15 times and the paint is already fucked up... I'm not a skater, don't use them to make sport or anything like that...

It my first pair of stas so idk, does it happen to you also so quickly ??:confused:

depends some of mine done similar, like my purple patent roadies had a permanent dent in the toe area from when I first ever bought them

Tons of threads on this. Never seen a pair melt away like that though. That sucks. Would be worse if it was one of the brightly colored pairs though. At least it's less noticeable with white.

yeah.. that happened to my pharrell roadies... i just dont wear them often now... cant do nething bout it. wish it was better quality though.. which is why i like stas alot better.

I've never had any problemss with my leather one's.

Its probably cause theyre the patent type and will have some kind of coating on the soles to shine brighter.

Hold on can u send them back to BAPE? And tell them that its a defective shoe? cus they say they are always working on making better quality products. so if some roadies are good quality and other aren't it would be logical to send them back even if its not for the same shoe possibly a credit towards another shoe or something. its worth the try.

yeh i heard some1 say they had a problem with cracking and they took there shoes back to bws london after they had been worn and they changed them..you should try it mate,its not like there cheap!

Niw, to stay ontopic: a lot of Air Max have this similar problem, but there's this special white paint that everyone uses to make them look crisp again, do some googling and I'm sure you'll find it!

I've worn mine about 10 times and they are fine. I had pair of jordan's where the bottom started cracking so I doubt roadstas are bad quality

They seem to wear at a much slower rate than even normal leather.
My Brazils are probably my least creased pair and worn the most.
Saying that, my roadies are holding up pretty well. They are normal leather rather than patent however.

I own about 6 pairs of Roadstas, and two of those have been worn well over 10 times and could easily pass as DS/VNDS condition. I have no complaints with them, honestly they are some of the most comfortable sneakers that I have. I use the heel of an insole over my foot to prevent creasing on the toebox btw, but other than that I don't do anything else.

Unless you are out there running around a track or just beating them all to hell, I don't see how that happens.

Look at a pair of £60 patent AF1s and you will see that STAs/Roadies are shite. Everything from the lining to the uppers. Bape needs to lift their game.

I couldn't agree more. Rotation plays a huge role in the aging process of your shoes. It's ridiculous how much of a difference adding just a single pair to your rotation makes.

that looks dirt, my ones haven't done that, however on the first release roadstas the back of the shoe, the cushioning for the heel got holes in really quick but that didn't happen with the paten roadstas and i wear them more

fuck I've never seen paint peel that bad. That is awful. I wouldnt even wear them anymore. People would be screaming out fake for sure. Were those your everyday shoes or something?

in the shoe restoration threads on iss.. they say if the midsole paint cracks.. angelus paint is the best one.. ive never ordered from the site but its turtlefeathers.net if u wanna check it out.. you go to angelus leather paint and go look for the color u want..
