1) Bape Kyoto will reopen on December 12th, 2009. The store will be upgraded to Bapexclusive, making it equal to that of NYC and Aoyama.

2) Bape Pirate Store will open in Kobe on December 3rd, 2009. The store will be located near Sanda station, but the location of the store from the station is estimated to be approx. 30 mins by walk, 15 mins by bus.

Just finished shopping, fought my way to a starbucks seat and ran into a good friend shopping here as well. Pics when I get home

the store was a fucking madhouse! Clothes threw around in these makeshift chests that acted more like storage units for used clothing donations than displays. People running around the store trying to grab the last size of this item or that item. All treasure bags sold out the first day, only womens sizes and XXS sizes left. City roadstas were put out just today but most survived when I got in. Panda hoodies were in the bins, lots of jackets, keychains, bags and most of all MILO shit that didn't and still won't sell. Managed to cop some shit though so I'll post em when I get home. All in all worth the fucking trek to get here, as the outlet mall itself is pretty big as well.

Best of all, Chinese resellers aren't willing to make this trip to get here, or they don't know about it (yet). Haven't heard Cantonese all day!!

Quite actually, there's a bus from Sannomiya (heart of Kobe city) that takes roughly 45 mins.

Opening December 12 in Kyoto Japan, a second ‘Bapexclusive’ store will carry not only general-Bape releases, but also additional, more limited items and exclusive colourways. Keeping everything under wraps until the opening, you can see these pictures of the interior only from the back for now. The store has been a year in the making and has once again been created by interior designers Wonderwall (hence the familiar trappings). Stock is predicted to fly off the shelves so if you want in, get there early!

Yeah, Kyoto is the old capital of Japan and considered by many the cultural centre up to this very day. So for a city that has such a rich history with warriors and samurai and everything related to the old Japan, I think this is a great interpretation. Plus the whole image works with the sta on top of the helmet and all.

Just came back from bape Kyoto. The store is real nice. Three floors, men on the ground, ladies' on the second, and a floor dedicated to a future Bape Gallery on the third. The pic of the shark hoodie fullsize figures are on the secnd floor facing outward behind glass, as if you're seeing an army. The one pink shark hoodie, untypically off to the left, is a nice touch of detail and an ode to asymmetrical aesthetics. The leather seats on all floors for girlfriends waiting for their boyfiends to finish spending money on themselves is detailed with embossed Bape camo texture. All racks are the same length and finish with an equal amount of polished aluminum for the clothing to pop out to their maximum potential. The neon glowing lights flicker on and off to a rhythm as each color in their own pattern gets a turn to shine until all are lit and the process repeats itself.

As a summary, Bape is no longer about ambiguously hidden and hard to find "Busy Work Shop"s but rather clean, structured, rigid, cold and sterile madness. I liked the old store better. Same goes with Bape Osaka. I loved the tunnel store design, the lights under the floor illuminating the single pair of Bapestas for sale, the long hallway leading to the store in Bape Kyoto, the 30 step staircase leading to a pane of glass that has "Busy Work Shop" etched at it's feet that slid open and functioned as the entrance to Bape Osaka. I love the detail of both of these stores now, but I liked the detail of the past stores even better.

Jin: Absolutely nothing! Wanted the opening Ape tee but of course it was sold out. All of the Milo ones were still available though.

Asami: Yeah the new store is nice, but it'll definitely mean more crowds. More convenient though, so I don't have to walk all the way down to Karasuma just to get there, which is good.

VA: The figures are 100% plastic.

I'm a little disappointed with the new BAPE Kyoto
the BWS @ Kyoto was the first BWS I ever went to
I liked the set up of the store before, with the shoes on top floor and the clothes in the compact section in the lower floor
There was no giant ape face on the storefront, just neon glowing camo
