BAPE STORE® NEW YORK and the web shop will be releasing BAPE® Lucky Bags (fukubukuro)
on Sunday, January 2, 2010 at 12 pm noon.

Lucky bags are a Japanese New Year's Day tradition, where grab bags filled with unknown items are sold at a substantial discount. The products inside these grab bags are random, thus often called "Good Luck Bags" or "Mystery Bags".

Each Lucky Bag will be priced at $200 and we're sure you'll be excited to open our Lucky Bags to start off the new year - don't miss out!

Bullshit, it's normal Bape items. Usually it's a t-shirt, a sweater/hoodie and an accessory.

These lucky bags are a freaking rip off, i just got mine from the Singapore BAPE store today and the contents were as following :

2x Tees (MADE IN CHINA)
1x Sweater(MADE IN CHINA)
1x Mug (not stated made where)
1x Calendar (not stated made where)

What the hell is with the MADE IN CHINA stuff? The material and print is sub standard when compared with the made in japan ones.

Total rip off. I'd rather just spend the same amount of money on 3 MADE IN JAPAN tee shirts.

i believe all ape items originate from china but are printed and finalized in jpn.
its kinda like what the usa automotive ind. practice parts from all over the world but assembled in usa. lol

Yup, I'm pretty sure that was happens, all items made in china and label sewn on in japan lol

people put too much emphasis on where items are made, even the stuff made in japan is crap quality lol

Thats a zip hoodie not a polo. Every pic I have seen is the same. Are these bags seriously all the same thing?

Nevermind thought they sold out, either the site was being shitty or they added more.

Edit again: Weird, at 2 mins to 12 it showed nothing but XS and S. 3 Mins after 10 all sizes back up. 5 after down to just small.

they look shit quality. I actually owned a shirt from the previous "bag" and it was as thin as toilet paper.

The new shirts everyone has been raving about are the same thing. The necks are no longer of a tight construction, and they dont have the thick hem at the bottom, and over all much thinner. BAPE started cutting corners in 2010. Hopefully the trend doesn't continue in 2011.
