Nerdstas are pretty rare too. Through a raffle advertisement on Men's non-no. I think it was 100 pairs limited.

I think there are more levels or rarity with Bape at the moment:

-The stuff from the last 3-4 years, which is hard to find but it pops up every now and then( like Super Ape Stars, black Sharks, OG Camo's)

-And the stuff from back in the 90's, when Bape was as rare as hell and hardly known to anyone outside of Japan. Tees and hoodies and whatever else from then is rare as hell.

And some of the collabs, like supreme X Bape, are also rare.

I know where there is a Black and White but I dont think its that great or that rare. You have to remember most of this stuff is easy to get in Japan its just the fact that you are outside Japan which makes it difficult.

I remember Frazer cooke bringing them out the back for me,they did nt even show them on display at this early stage of 1998,haha think he enjoyed the view of my fab ex girlfriend at the time who was a damm hot chik!!!

Very Ape was the british licensed version of Bathing Ape they used to sell it at Bond but stopped when Hit and Run opened. Hit & Run/Hideout used to have some great Bape pieces later on but they of course stopped selling them the Bape store opened. I am not sure what happened to the stuff that never got sold as I dont recall it turning up at BWS.

Frazer is a really nice bloke he is now director of special projects at Nike. I asked him once why he never seemed to get excited about Bape and his response was "When you spend all day looking at it, its just another clothing line" he was one of the founding members of Mo Wax, used to put on wicked club nights, had all these amazing connections like Futura, Nigo and Stash and the guy was so humble it was untrue.

Rare would be something that was produced in limited number maybe less than 5. The thing people are forgetting is before about 4 years ago Bape was produced in Ltd numbers and only one place outside Japan which was Hideout was officially allowed to sell it.

I think pre 2000 runs of Bape tees were about 200 each.

I would say that anything released to the public in the lowest numbers available would be considered the most rare.
Obviously one offs , that were given to friends and family shouldn't count cuz most of us on here (excluding Rosstopher who said he rode in Nigo's car) would never be able to obtain such an item .

With that said...can people list the items that were released to the public in the lowest numbers....

Also....would a print defect be considered rare or just a fucked hoody that someone got owned on...
