lol yea maybe if you OWN a retail store lol. i doubt anybody that works actual retail gets paid more than like $15/hr, even in the higher end stores

homie... its called commission and a lot of higher end shops pay through comission.. and you can easily make a well paying career off it if your dope. Hell you can make a 100,000 a year working at future shop.

This is true....I know there are people at Saks pulling $9,000 in a week on just their comission checks alone, not including their base pay. So it is very much possible to make good money in retail.

^^Very true!..but i think store like BWS dont work off commisson..they jus get a allowance for clothes and straight pay..not sure about that though..

I manage a store, dont own it, and i earn way more than $15/hr. Dont get me wrong, retail sucks, but ppl would be pissed if there was no one to sell them there stuff.

no, the crappy pay is the reason i wouldn't do it. if it payed well, i would do it. Besides, the majority of my income comes from freelance graphic design projects that i work on from home so i could work there just for clothes and survival income and work on GD projects at home still. And i'm sure there's more work in that field in NYC than there is in ATL.

And on the subject of commission, my good friend works for Gucci. He's just a regular sales rep and he makes stupid money. It's not so much from the walk in people that buy a thing or two, but the clients he builds loyalty with that come in every week or two and fucking unload.

BBC staff in Harajuku was so bloody nice, I ended up talking to them for half a hour although they could hardly understand my crappy japanese. Dudes were very chill and let me browse, and were running back and forth to get me the sizes I wanted. BWS was okay, although Nagoya staff was kinda annoying cuz the dude kept tailing me because he thought I wanted to try the clothes on, hehe.

Unlike those bitches in Supreme and Neighborhood Harajuku, they were a real pain in the ass and kept looking at you like you were trash >_> .

Jpn does not get commision but they do get a FAT discount on items, I cant say what it is but its sad how much we non BWS workers pay compared to them. not sure NYC or other non Jpnse BWS.

If i'm not mistaken : BBC / Bape employees don't make commission.

Therefore their base pay is a bit higher than most retail gigs.

Commission based jobs have less base pay which is compensated by the amount you sell.
