Who can recommend me some things? I will be going for a week at the end of december, but since I think that will be a bit too long for just Taipei I am currently looking into also getting out of the city for a few days. Haven't decided anything yet (except for that I will go at the end of december), so if any of the Taiwanese members have any good tips, please feel free to share.

Xi Men Ding, there's alot of resell shops
Definitely go check out Shilin night market like DC RA said for some good snacks
Ask around, there's some really good shabu shabu places too
Be sure to check out Ding Tai Fung for xiao long bao

Some stores you could check out:
The Complete Studio: for NBHD and wtaps
APERY: resell store, they have Head Porter, Original Fake, BAPE, and lots of other stuff
AES Taipei: for Bounty Hunter
Sense Organ: they carry CLOT and Devilock

for recreation, you could check out Alishan mountains in central taiwan, big tourist destination
you could also take the bullet train down south to tainan, some of the best taiwanese food is there

dont go to Kaoshiung. It is the second biggest city in taiwan but not much stuff. tainan has a couple stores, but i think you will get caught up in Taipei and Taichung since they are only 2 hours apart or 30 min apart by high speed rail. If you do anything, I think you should go to LUXY

Thanks for the tips guys, not really looking for a lot of shopping as I can do those things here in Japan already, but all the food tips sound great ;) .

101 is a good department store but you would prolly wanna just hit up the flagship stores of LV and such. Not many stores sell old bape because most of tw is past bape now...most stores with a lot of bape are really overpriced
